Jan loves and respects Australia’s diverse culture and landscape. She is particularly inspired by our First Nations people and has painted with Senior Indigenous Artist’s at Utopia, in the Northern Territory. “To capture this and to share with others, is a gift I treasure.” A selection of these works hung in major exhibitions locally and overseas, and were awarded finalists in the Archibald Prize, Portia Geach and the Moran Art Prize.

Jan paints and works from her home studio on the Sunshine Coast, where life is simple. Surrounded by family and friends, she is inspired by the moving colours and many subjects immersed in the charming coastal habitat. “These day’s life is simple. I paint, I swim, I walk and I eat”.
